Alphabetize Selection

Drag the cursor across the window to select some text on this page and click the above link to see the bookmarklet script in action. It will display a list of the selected words in alphabetical order, which can be saved in a file or copied for use elsewhere.
Features include:

• Displays the number of words.
• Duplicate words can be toggled in and out of view.
• Opens in a separate window so the original selection remains accessible.
• You can type or paste a line of text to be alphabetized, by clicking the bookmark without making a selection first.
• All characters other than text are removed, except the hyphen. Try selecting 30 May 2002, € 9,99 or <!$%^&*{[(-)]}?>.
• Does not work with text in images.
• Internet Explorer 5.5 only.

This is a paragraph with some interesting content which you can select and alphabetize, such as a link, (words in brackets), "text in quotes", , duplicate words words words and three green words! We may even have some actual content one day.
